We provide personnel to the oil and gas industry for both onshore and offshore facilities, ranging from fabrication, design, construction, installation, commissioning, production, operations, maintenance and inspection, through to de-commissioning.

Jakar's pool of certified inspectors and expeditors carry out third-party quality assurance and quality control assignment, looking into refinery inspection, construction, offshore equipment inspection, turnaround inspection, refractory inspection and source/shop inspection.

Project maintenance consultancy and technical advisory support. This covers a comprehensive range of consultancy from design, initial formulation of strategy, implementation and control to maintenance and technical support.

Our expertise extends to fault seal analysis to establish potential geological and commercial problems, and to production calculations to arm out clients with as mush information as possible for cost-effective solutions. We also call upon specialist software for seismic interpretation in the exploration for oil and natural gas.

Construction & Maintenance Services

Engineering procurement, fabrication and construction of marine structures. This covers structural fabrication of offshore structures, fabrication and installation of piping system for offshore facilities, electrical and instrumentation of offshore facilities.

Provision of hook-up and commissioning services. Our resources include engineering work barges, work boats and construction equipment that we deploy for third-party clients

Pressurized Habitat for Hot Work
Jakar Machinery Sdn Bhd has been helping clients perform hot work on offshore installations & topside maintenance works. The JM Habitat is made from fire retardant panels that easily fit together to provide a pressurized environment that can prevent the need to shutdown productions. It is a stand-alone system not requiring tie-in to vessel gas detection or control systems.

It is flexible to suit all applications, pipe/structural repairs, inspections and intrusive investigations. It is designed to provide a safe module in which hot work can be safely executed while the platform or plant is live and designed in such a way to be sealed around pipe work and equipment.While hotwork is in progress, an external fire-watch and a supply air standby man are required.
These personnel should always have contact with the control room by radio. In the event of gas detection all hot work must cease, and operations personnel must focus on carrying out evacuation safely. Special habitat panels have been designed with this feature in mind to provide alternate escape routes.
During hot work in the habitat, the local exterior air supply and the source of ventilation air shall be continuously monitored with portable gas detectors; detection of gas shall result in a total cessation of hot work. High levels of gas detection anywhere on the installation or plant shall result in the manual termination of the hot work.
